Perform a variety of duties to determine that materials, products and/or processes are in accordance with specifications and requirements. Perform standard inspections. Make visual, dimensional, electrical, or mechanical inspections of materials, processes, assemblies, or sub-assemblies. Use a variety of precision measuring equipment. Calibration of torque tools. Refer deviations from specifications to appropriate personnel. Maintain records pertinent to function.
Education and Experience:
High school equivalent required.
Technical certificate or associate degree a plus.
2 years inspection experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience with torque tools is preferred.
Experience with ISO 9001, gage calibration and product non-conformance systems is preferred.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
Read, analyze, and interpret a variety of information, such as technical procedures, business correspondence, and governmental regulations furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
Create business-level written correspondence and verbally present information to internal and external customers.
Requires job related software skills, MS Office, and the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment.
