Perform MIG or TIG welding on a diversified line of standard weldments using American Welding Society welding symbols. Set-up, fit and position weldments having a number of parts, use welding fixtures and jigs where applicable. Work from blueprints and job layouts; use rule, square and gauges. Work is subject to first and final piece inspections for alignment, dimensions and aesthetic requirements. Use hand grinders and dynafiles to remove weld splatter and sharp edges from metal materials. Work on a wide variety of manufactured parts; most on thin-gauge material.
