  • Overview

    Owns the supply relationship for assigned parts, materials, and/or commodities. Effectively manages the timely placing of Purchase Orders and Kanban releases to facilitate meeting Bruno production schedules and on-time customer delivery commitments. Consistently identifies and implements opportunities to take cost out of the procurement process and procured product, in keeping with company goals and objectives.


    • Plan, place and manage Purchase Orders and associated Kanban parts
    • Lower the purchase price paid for assigned parts and materials; by negotiating, re-sourcing, and/or cross-functional project-related initiatives  
    • Establish and maintain good working relationship with suppliers and internal customers
    • Source and negotiate globally with different cultures
    • Support and participate in Lean and process improvement initiatives


    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Operations or Supply Chain Management, professional certifications and 3-5 years previous purchasing experience is preferred. 

    • A combination of education and experience will be considered. 


    Skills and Abilities: 

    • Read, analyze, and interpret a variety of information, such as technical procedures, business correspondence, and governmental regulations furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 
    • Create business-level written correspondence and verbally present information to internal and external customers. 
    • Requires job related software skills, MS Office and the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment. 


    Working Conditions/Physical Demands:


    • Regular office environment.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, and touch; and talk and hear.  
    • The employee is occasionally required to move around.
