Direct, and lead, all welding related activities, focusing on safety, quality, delivery and staff development. Utilize established procedures and processes to plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill work orders, meet inventory accuracy requirements and deliver manufactured products. Serve as transformational leader to mentor and guide team to deliver on organizational goals and objectives.
Education and Experience: Bachelor Degree in related field and broad technical and administrative experience in a welding environment, plus a minimum of 5 years supervisory experience required. Candidates should have proven experience establishing and implementing welding process and method improvements. Certified weld inspector (CWI) and / or welding supervisor certification (WSC) a plus.
Additionally candidates should possess experience with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and possess the ability to communicate, both verbally and in writing, well-reasoned, independent thought. Candidates should also have familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Experience with lean manufacturing and Kan Ban inventory systems is a plus.
