  • Overview

    Manage and assist in the completion of day to day activities involving: the maintenance of buildings/facilities, and grounds, the trouble shooting and repair of equipment and machinery, and daily assignment of preventative and requested maintenance functions. Responsibilities further include the maintenance and repair of: HVAC, building lighting systems, security, heating, electrical, plumbing and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.


    • Prepare work schedules, supervises work completion, assigns and tracks work through Computerized Maintenance Management system (CMMS)
    • Maintain critical parts inventory through CMMS system
    • Spare parts inventory management; provide guidance to direct reports for setting up and maintaining inventory
    • Hire, train, and mentor direct reports to meet department goals
    • Lead and manage performance of direct reports
    • Meets required timelines of projects and maintenance requests
    • Work on cross-functional teams to coordinate, implement, and complete projects and PM tasks while maintaining production schedule
    • Maintains preventative maintenance schedule
    • Manages the activities of third party contractors as needed
    • Prepare and maintains budgets: secures estimates and costs/quotes as required, and operates within the approved maintenance budget
    • Implements yearly approved buildings and maintenance improvements
    • Maintain grounds keeping: monitor and manage outside services
    • Make recommendations for plant or building improvements as an ongoing task. Proposes cost or labor initiatives on regular basis
    • Maintains safety and 5S practices. Attends and participates in safety meetings monthly and promotes world class methodology
    • Manages contracted and internal cleaning services for all plant.
    • Assists in the implementation and set up of new equipment
    • Responsible for snow removal from all walkways, docks and parking lot.
    • Responsible for maintenance and testing of all security and fire protection in the plants
    • Primary point of contact for on-call fire and security system requirements
    • Maintains and manages the use of all Bruno owned maintenance vehicles


    Education and Experience: 

    • Associates degree in business or relevant field. 
    • Minimum of 3 years management of maintenance systems and staff.
    • Prior work experience with computerized maintenance management systems desired.

    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Must have demonstrated mechanical and electrical knowledge and repair abilities.
    • Must have strong interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects.
    • Exhibit strong decision making skills.
    • Ability to interface with mechanical and construction contractors.
    • Requires job related software skills, Microsoft Office proficiency and the ability to operate a variety of standard office equipment and experience with a CMMS system
    • Read, analyze, and interpret a variety of information, such as technical procedures, business correspondence, and governmental regulations furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Create business-level written correspondence and verbally present information to large and small groups, both internally and externally.  

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands:

    • Environment is a modern production facility with heat and air conditioning
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is generally required to work inside with occasional outside duties
    • The employee is required to perform job functions in physical constraints such as crouch, kneel, reach overhead, lying, work on roof, climb ladder and work off of a man-lift
    • Use hands and fingers to manipulate a variety of tools  
    • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds regularly
    • Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds, with assistance, occasionally
