  • Overview

    Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.


    • Work with product managers to define the product market requirements
    • Work with lead engineers to develop achievable product development plans
    • Work with cross functional team of buying, manufacturing, quality, outside supply, and assembly personnel to launch products into the market
    • Communicate effectively with all customers and staff
    • Organize people, plans, and processes to complete product specific projects on time and within budget
    • Provide direction and support to project team
    • Implement and manage project changes and interventions to achieve project outputs
    • Close projects and incorporate lessons learned into new projects
    • Manage multiple projects at the same time
    • Implement process or system improvements in a product development environment on a continuous basis



    Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Project Management or Engineering
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience managing products
    • Knowledge of both theoretical and practical aspects of project management
    • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools
    • Direct work experience in project management capacity.
    • Proven experience in people management, in strategic planning, in risk management and in change management.
    • Experience with Lean, Six Sigma, PPAP part qualification, FMEA and quality assurance in a product development environment is desired. 

    Skills and Abilities: 

    • Read, analyze, and interpret a variety of information, such as technical procedures, business correspondence, and governmental regulations furnished in written, oral or diagram form. 
    • Create business-level written correspondence and verbally present information to large and small groups, both internally and externally. 
    • Requires job related software skills including Microsoft Office proficiency, and MS Project or other project tracking software experience.
    • Read, analyze, and interpret reports and legal documents. 
    • Requires communication, influencing, leading, delegation, team work, negotiation, conflict management, adaptability, and stress tolerance skills. 

    Working Conditions/Physical Demands: 


    • Regular office environment, approximately 85%.
    • Modern production facility/engineering lab with heat and air conditioning approximately 10%
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or touch; and talk and hear.  
    • Travel to suppliers and field installations including outside environments approximately 5%
